Arsenal Target Liverpool’s Nabil as Ceballos’ Replacement

Premier League football club Arsenal has reportedly opened discussions and talks recently for targeting Nabil Fekir of Liverpool after having an impressive season at Real Betis. During the last summer transfer window, Fekir was very near to joining Liverpool from Lyon, his side for Ligue 1. But soon the transfer collapsed after coming to the final stages as the Reds faced the playmakers’ injury concerns. New hopes are there for the Gunners to swoop in for the attacker from France. They are looking forward to taking him as a prospective replacement for Dani Ceballos.

According to some sources, Arsenal has already enquired over Fekir to his La Liga side, Real Betis. The attacker joined the La Liga side from Lyon for £17million only which is approximately a third of the total sum that Liverpool agreed to pay for him. It is also believed that the Spanish side will demand £30million for the 26-year-old attacker who has the capability to play behind the striker or even play out in a wide area. However, it seems Arsenal is not ready to make any major decisions regarding transfers because of the current pandemic. They will only come to a settlement after everything gets resolved and they check out next season’s budget.

Mikel Arteta is the boss for the Gunners and he has to take all the decisions regarding the transfers. According to some reports, he has also shown some interest in taking up Carlos Soler. He plays as the midfielder in Valencia and Mikel is seeing him as the prospective replacement for Dani Ceballos, the same for Nabil Fekir. The Valencia player is likely to return to Real Madrid at the end of the ongoing season. This is because there is no other option for him to buy as part of his loan agreement.
