ARSENAL JOIN LAZIO IN THE HUNT FOR CHELSEA STAR

After currently finding it difficult to sign attacking midfielder James Maddison from Leicester City this summer, Arsenal are exploring their options and are looking at other possible targets they could sign before the closure of the summer transfer window. The Gunners opened talks with Leicester some days ago as they intend to sign Maddison, who is currently frustrated and unsettled at the King Power stadium. The midfielder is keen to leave Leicester after finding himself playing a fewer number of games under manager Brendan Rodgers, causing him to develop an interest in listening to offers from other clubs that can offer him regular football.

Arsenal have now switched their attention to Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi and are said to be willing to offer him regular playing time if he can sign for them but they first have to convince Chelsea and reach an agreement with the Blues in terms of a transfer fee before negotiating with the player on a wage structure and how much he will be earning. It is believed that reaching an agreement with Hudson-Odoi over wages will not be a problem for Arsenal because the player has given them the green light that he is willing to sign for a new club as early as this summer.

After already signing three new players this summer, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is not done yet and is going out with the full force to seal a deal for Hudson-Odoi as he believes that the Chelsea star could be the final piece of his jigsaw before the start of the new English Premier League season.

Hudson-Odoi is expected to bring another attacking option to the Arsenal midfield if he signs for the Gunners and with Arteta keen to bring in players that can add goals and assists to the team, they could reach an agreement with Chelsea.
