  1. Song joined Arsenal when he was 17 (just before turning 18). As far as I am concerned, he developed into the player he is at Arsenal. He was part of the youth academy until his ascendancy to the first team. I kept my eye on him since day one as I knew he was the nephew of a cameroon international and heard he was talented. Nuff said

  2. @shamyczes Allright, though I can agree the keeper fucked up on the first goal, he should have ran and cleared it.

  3. @LinusLundiin well in my opinion hes the best english keeper but when i wrote that comment i forgot he was in city

  4. @shamyczes So you´re saying Joe Hart and Shay Given are crap? Hart is the best keeper in the premier league.

  5. @sammyb198 He’s saying he’s not totally a product of the academy like wilshere or clichy. Song still came from the academy but they didn’t build him from the ground up.

  6. Sunu, Thomas and Wilshere is there, Man City Academy is so dead! Arsenal academy have several players that is already in the league one class in that age..

  7. @floydalbin Carragher belongs to Gerrard’s generation. The rest did not exactly help or improve Liverpool’s fortune did they?

  8. @IIIL47v Jamie Carragher, Warnock, Insua, Kelly (played a lot of games recently). Then We have good players like Shelvey, Spearing and Wilson.

  9. the top 4 academy in England as it stands (2010) IMO are (1) Arsenal (2) Everton (3) West Ham (4) Man Utd Man City used to have a good one, the arrival of their sugar daddy killed it.

  10. @floydalbin Liverpool used to have a good academy with the likes of Fowler, Redknapp, Owen came through. But certainly no longer the case today. Their last academy player who had established himself as first teamer is Steven Gerrard, that was how long ago?

  11. Result doesnt really matter, Man City doesnt really need a youth team, they just buy there players these days 😛

  12. @BlakerbMusic as do every other half decent club in the premiership… yea go leeds you have some english players!!! (but no fukin trophies). whats wrong with buying foreign players if they have the tallent? they come here where the money is in football and are you not entertained after watching 90 mins of a premiership derby match? this aint the world cup you know… not everyone has to be english, who will cook you a kebab on a friday night?

  13. @AlizeCiz most deffinately! problem is… we develop all these amazing players, invest time effort and money in them, then by the time there regular 1st teamers at like 23/24, every other fucking team in the world is after them. wenger doesnt hold onto players for shit… i love fabregas but fuck me i was surprised he didnt go to barca, good on him… i hope we win a trophy or 2 this year.
