LYON REPORTEDLY OPEN TO SELLING ARSENAL TARGET THIS SUMMER

The transfer window is almost here and will be open for business next month, it has been announced. It will run through from June till August and provides enough time for clubs to sort out their transfer plans and also for players to seal moves to the respective clubs of their choice as well. A lot of clubs are expected to be very active this summer, more than their counterparts and Arsenal are one of those clubs.

The Gunners are currently in shambles and have a lot of work to do in getting rid of unwanted players and having them replaced with new faces and fresh legs. Last summer, Arsenal tried to sign French midfielder Houssem Aouar from French Ligue 1 club Olympique Lyon but the move was not successful as Lyon were reportedly not ready to part ways with one of their best players at the end of the last campaign.

However, according to French media outlet L’equipe, the French side will reportedly be willing to listen to offers for the midfielder this summer as they are now interested in selling him in order to raise funds to pursue their own summer transfer targets. The midfielder has been slapped with a £30 million price tag by the French club and even though it does not look feasible that Arsenal will be willing to pay that exact amount, Lyon will reportedly be willing to negotiate.

Memphis Depay has been linked with a move away from Lyon and is reportedly interested in joining Barcelona this summer, meaning that the club could lose up to two of their most prized assets in the same transfer window, but if they receive good offers for the players, they will be willing to sell and then sign their respective replacements.
