De Gea Believes Preseason Will Help Shaw

A few weeks ago Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw made their way to Old Trafford as they joined Manchester United and David de Gea stated that this pre-season schedule will help them on getting acclimated with their new team and surroundings.

De Gea said: “I have a very nice memory of my first moments on tour with United. I remember vividly meeting the players and the first training sessions with them and Sir Alex. It was a truly unforgettable experience. The tour helps you learn to live and train with great footballers such as the ones at this club. It is such a big club and you realize how big it is when you travel abroad to countries like the United States and Japan. The club has such a huge fan base.”

Manchester United has a pre-season program that will see them playing against: Real Madrid, LA Galaxy, As.Roma and Inter Milan in United States which will be a perfect period of time for the new signings to make their presence be felt and prove why the manager and the club was willing on spending their time and money in order to sign them.

The combined total of Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera’s transfer to Manchester United made the Premier League club having to offload €60 million in order to secure their services.

Considering the disastrous campaign that Manchester United finished going through both of the new signings want to avoid making an awful debut season in their new club.

During the first few seasons of David de Gea at Old Trafford he received heavy criticism as he had the huge task of following in the footsteps which was left behind by Edwin van der Sar but the Spanish shot-stopper has managed to make a name for himself as one of the most promising rising stars in the world.
